Residential systems can earn back $1.75 per watt up to 3 kW, or $5,250. Commercial systems earn the same rate, but are capped at 10 kW instead, or up to $17,500.

If you’re concerned about initial fees, Fort Collins Utilities also offers an on-bill, low cost financing option. Loans range from $1,000 to $15,000 – up to 100% of total project costs.

Residents who are not with Fort Collins Utilities likely purchase electricity from the Poudre Valley REA, which also offers incentives to go solar. When installing panels, those customers can earn $1.50 per watt installed, for a maximum of $4,500.
